Zawiya elections to be held in May

The Central Committee for Municipal Elections chairman, Salem Bin Taheya said on Thursday, the date of Zawiya Center municipality elections is set on the 12 May next, instead of April 30, to enable the largest number of voters to participate.

Bin Taheya pointed out that the elections of Bani Walid municipality will be launched immediately after the completion of the elections in Zawiya, stressing the availability of budget for the two municipalities, while waiting for the Committee to liquidate the budget for the other municipalities.

 

About 77 municipalities term in office finishes in 2018, while others have already finished.
