Turkish ambassador confirms his country’s support for the government of national accord

The Turkish ambassador to Libya, Sarhat Aksan, reiterated on Monday his country’s support for the national accord government and its steadfast position in defending the capital Tripoli and the country’s citizens.

During a meeting with President of the Presidential Council Faiz Al-Sarraj at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, Accen stressed Turkey’s condemnation of the targeting of the aggressor forces of civilian facilities, praising the initiative of Al-Seraj, which he put forward on June 16 to return to the path of political settlement.

For his part, Al-Serraj expressed his appreciation for Turkey’s rejection of the aggression and expressed his aspiration for cooperation between the two countries.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish President “Rejap Erdogan,” said earlier, the government of national accord is able to restore areas that fell into the hands of the hafter militias gradually, stressing his country’s recognition of the government of national accord as the legitimate government of Libya.
