A supply of Kalashnikovs, rockets and landmines was confiscated this weekend by Tunisian forces close to the Tunisian border with Libya, according to the Tunisian interior ministry.

Tunisian soldiers found two stocks of weapons on Saturday and a third on Sunday, added the ministry.

This raises concerns that ISIS fighters could likely cross over to Tunisia as Libyan forces continue to eradicate them from Sirte.

In March, ISIS fighters attacked army and police stations in Ben Guerdane killing about 53 people. A number of the ISIS fighters in Libya are originally Tunisian.

Since the attack, Tunisian forces have stepped up their border security, especially at the Libyan border, to prevent other ISIS fighters from entering the country. Some European nations are assisting Tunisia in increasing its security by offering training and technology.
