Tunisia extends the state of emergency in the country for an additional 6 months.

On Friday, Tunisian President Qais Saaid decided to extend the state of emergency throughout the country for an additional six months.

According to what was published on the official page of the Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia, on “Facebook”, the extension will start from Saturday, December 26, 2020, to June 23, 2021.

It is worth noting that the state of emergency has been in effect in the country since 2015, following an attack on a presidential security bus in the capital Tunis, in which about 59 tourists and a security man were killed in two separate attacks, which were claimed by ISIS.
