Tunis Foreign Minister, Khemaies Jhinaoui, Urges for Libyan Parties to Continue Dialogue

The Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui urged Libyan parties to continue in their dialogue to reach a consensus solution that would pave the way for organizing presidential and legislative elections enabling the establishment of state institutions.

On Wednesday in Cairo, during a meeting of the foreign ministers of Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt, Jhinaoui confirmed his country’s rejection of foreign interference in Libya, according to the Tunisian Foreign Ministry’s Facebook page.

Jhinaoui stressed Tunisia’s firm stance on the crisis in Libya, based on the principles contained in the “Tunis Declaration for the Comprehensive Political Settlement in Libya” signed last February, indicating Tunisia’s efforts to bring the Libyan parties closer together.
