Tobruk Parliament in response to Haftar: We condemn calls for war between Libyans, and the solution is to continue political dialogue.

The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Tobruk House of Representatives condemned the calls for fighting between Libyans, stressing that they stand against the option of war or those who incite it.

In a statement issued by it, Tuesday, the committee expressed its deep concern about the recent escalation, which it said came after the success of the efforts to calm down, warning of the outbreak of a new war, stressing the importance of preserving the Libyan blood, its rejection of foreign interference, and the need for all foreign forces to leave, according to the text of the statement. .

The committee considered that the time has come to achieve peace after years of bitter fighting between the people of the same country, which caused a high human and material loses, calling on the Libyans to united and move beyond the past, and to spare the country the scenario of war and chaos.

The committee stressed that the war cannot be a solution to the current Libyan crisis, and that the only way to solve it is to continue political dialogue, support the work of the UN mission in Libya, and adhere to the recommendations of the Berlin conference, according to the statement.

It is worth noting that Haftar called on the anniversary of independence for his militias to prepare for the battle, which he called decisive, for what I consider the expulsion of the “Turkish occupier” from Libya.
