The “Washington Post” describes Hifter as a “war Lord”, and accuses the countries backing him of supporting the rebellion in Libya.

The American newspaper “The Washington Post” described Khalifa Hifter a “war Lord” and accused the countries of “Egypt, the Emirates, France and Jordan” of supporting the rebellion in Libya.

The newspaper, on its official website, said that Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan’s intention to deploy Turkish forces to support the Libyan government comes in response to the emergence of more than a thousand Russian mercenaries among the rebel forces surrounding the capital.

The newspaper added, that Hifter played, from a base in Eastern Libya, the role of “spoiler” for the accord sponsored by the United Nations with the assistance of its foreign sponsors.

It is worth noting that the report of the Panel of Experts of the United Nations on Libya earlier confirmed what was published in The Washington Post about the involvement of the UAE, France and Jordan in fueling the war in Libya and supporting the aggression against Tripoli.
