The UN mission in Libya welcomes the exchange of prisoners between the Libyan army and Haftar’s militias.

The UN Support Mission in Libya welcomed the implementation of the exchange of detainees between the Libyan army forces and Haftar’s militias, under the supervision of the Joint Military Committee, and the efforts of some sheikhs and notables.

On Friday, the mission urged the parties to accelerate the implementation of all the terms of the ceasefire signed between the two parties, and to complete the exchange of all detainees covered by the agreement.

It is worth noting that the Joint Military Committee (5 + 5) announced on Friday that an exchange of 48 prisoners was held between the Government of National Accord and Haftar’s militias, in which 33 prisoners from Haftar’s militia were exchanged for 15 of Libyan army forces.
