The Tunisian ambassador to Germany is surprised by the exclusion of his country from attending the Berlin conference.

The Tunisian ambassador to Germany, Ahmed Shafra, said that his country received the news of its exclusion from the Berlin Conference on Libya “with great surprise, because Tunisia is the most interested country in the situation in Libya, and it is the country most affected by what is going on in it,” he said.

Shafra added, in statements to the German channel “Deuche Ville”, on Wednesday, that until now, no explanations have been provided on the reason for Tunisia’s exclusion from the conference, explaining that they do not believe that there is pressure on Germany from any party, and we do not think that it can give in to such pressures, stressing their adherence to international legitimacy and what the United Nations has endorsed regarding the Libyan crisis.

It is worth noting that the Berlin conference on the Libyan crisis will be held on the 19th of this month with an international and local presence.
