The Times: Saif Al-Islam plans to run for the next elections

The son of former President Moamar Gaddafi, Saif Al-Islam plans to run for the next election, The Times newspaper reported on Saturday.

The Time reported French negotiator at the centre of efforts for Libyan peace, Jean-Yves Ollivier saying that Saif al-Islam is confident of winning the elections if he took part, stressing that efforts are made to try to integrate the Gaddafi family in the political process in Libya.

The newspaper said the efforts to integrate the Gaddafi family has completed a request to the International Criminal Court to review the arrest warrant issued against Saif, which a verdict is supposed to come from it on September 28.

The charge of the political and reform program of Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, Ayman Boras announced last March, during a press conference, Saif al-Islam candidacy for the upcoming presidential elections, despite the issuance of an arrest warrant against him from the International Criminal Court.
