The Supreme Council of State suspends participation in the Geneva dialogue until progress is made in the military dialogue.

The Supreme Council of State voted unanimously to suspend going to Geneva to participate in the political dialogue, with 86 members present.

During its 51st session, the Supreme State affirmed the suspension of participation until progress is achieved in the military track, and considering the opinion of the team of five officers assigned by the Presidential Council in the dialogue of the Military Committee, while adhering to the political agreement, is the rule and the basic reference.

The Council called on the United Nations mission to clarify the decision-making mechanism in the Dialogue Committee and the Agenda and what topics are presented in it, stressing the need for the mission to provide the names of participants from the House of Representatives, and participants to be chosen by the UN envoy.

It is worth noting that the Supreme Council of State chose, in February, 13 members representing the electoral districts to participate in the political dialogue to be held in Geneva that was called for by the UN mission in early January.
