The Security Council threatens to impose sanctions on those who target the security and stability of Libya.

On Friday, the Security Council threatened all those who obstruct or undermine the political transition in Libya or threaten peace and stability in Libya by exposing them to travel ban and asset freeze measures.

The council added that the committee established by them previously for this purpose will classify individuals and entities who violate the arms embargo or obstruct the success of the political dialogue.

It is worth noting that the reports of United Nations experts have documented the violation of the UAE, Egypt, Jordan and Russia of the arms embargo imposed on Libya during its support of Haftar’s militias in his aggression against Tripoli.
