The Russian Foreign Ministry welcomes the launch of the Libyan Dialogue Forum in Tunis.

The Russian Foreign Ministry welcomed the launch of the Libyan Dialogue Forum in Tunis, stressing that its aim is to form new effective national authorities capable of guaranteeing Libya’s unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Foreign Ministry expressed, in a statement Monday, its aspirations for the success of the dialogue and to end “the division of the country into warring camps and help overcome the long-standing military and political crisis,” according to the Russian agency Sputnik.

It is worth noting that the first session of the Libyan Dialogue Forum was launched on Monday in Tunis, under the auspices of the United Nations and in the presence of 75 personalities from various Libyan components.
