The mission announces the establishment of the advisory committee for the Dialogue Forum with 18 members.

The Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Stephanie Williams, announced the establishment of the advisory committee emanating from the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum with 18 members.

The mission said – in a statement on its official website – Saturday, that it decided to expand the number to 18 members “to ensure a wide geographical and political diversity”, with the participation of women, youth and cultural components.

The mission clarified that the main task of the committee is to discuss the outstanding issues related to the selection of the unified executive authority and to provide concrete and practical recommendations for the plenary session of the forum to be decided on, stressing that the election date on December 24, 2021 is a fixed matter, and a goal that cannot be abandoned.

The mission named the members of the committee: “Sultanate Al-Mismari, Sayda Al-Yaqoubi, Mohamed Lino, Wafia Saif Al-Nasr, Mohamed Al-Hasnawi, Hussein Al-Ansari, Abdulrahman Alabbar, Anas Al-Homri, Khaled Al-Osta, Musa Faraj, Ali Abdulziz, Saeed Kalla, Abdullah Othman, Nizar Kaawan, Al-Shaibani Abdullah Al-Shaibani, Muhammad Allafi, Ahmad Al-Sharkasy, Abubaker Al-Obaidi.
