The Minister of Justice of the GNA has denied the crisis of human trafficking in Libya

 

The Minister of Justice of the GNA, Mohamed Abdel Wahid, denied during a meeting with the Special Envoy of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission to Libya, Amira Al-Fadil, of the  media reports on the trafficking of humans in Libya.

 

He stressed that the Libyan government is keen to respect the rights of illegal immigrants and  

expressed the Ministry of Justice’s readiness to cooperate with UNHCR and the International Organization for Migration; pointing out that the Office of the Attorney-General has already begun  the investigations.

 

Al-Fadil confirmed the coordination with the responsible authorities in the GNA and the International Organizations of Migration to deport migrants back to their countries.
