The Maltese Customs Department announced that it had confiscated the largest quantity of the drug “cocaine” in the history of Malta, weighing 612 kg and a market value of 69 million euros, on its way to Libya.
The Maltese Customs Department stated, according to what was published by “Malta Today” newspaper, Wednesday, that the shipment was coming from Ecuador, through Colombia and then to Libya, noting that cocaine was found inside boxes carrying cooking oil.
It is worth noting that the Brazilian Tax Authority announced last May that it had confiscated 128.4 kg of cocaine on its way to Libya.
