
On Tuesday, the German Ambassador to Libya, “Oliver Ofcha”, welcomed the announcement of the UN mission in Libya. To initiate the international financial auditing of the two branches of the Central Bank of Libya.
“Ovcha” added in his tweet on Twitter, that this step is important towards transparency and accountability in the Libyan banking system, and the gradual reunification of financial institutions, stressing that auditing at this time requires speed in implementation, in cooperation with all parties, as he put it.
It is worth noting that the United Nations Support Mission in Libya announced, Monday, that it will coordinate closely with the Auditing Bureau during the international financial auditing process for the two branches of the Central Bank.
