Syrian website: The return of Syrian mercenaries to their country, recruited by Russia for its interest in Libya.

“Al-Suwayda 24” website revealed the return of a batch of “Syrian fighters”, numbering between 150 and 200, to Al-Suwayda Governorate, they were recruited by Russia to fight in Libya, after the end of the contracts signed with security companies.

The site quoted one of the fighters, as saying that Russia returned them to Syria through Hmeimim base, after 4 months, which is the period signed with the security company, noting that the contract stipulated that their salaries ranged between 1000 and 1500 dollars per month, but that the majority of them received 3000 dollars only for 4 months.

The source explained that their task was to protect and guard oil installations and factories, where the Russian forces were stationed in Libya, adding that the Russians forced them to dig trenches and prepare soil berms.

The source confirmed that thousands of Syrian fighters that Russia had recruited on its interest were still in Libya.
