Embassies of Britain, Canada, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and France, as well as the EU mission in Libya, called for the release of MP Siham Sargewa, who was kidnapped in Benghazi.

In a joint statement on Tuesday, the embassies of the seven countries called on the authorities concerned to urgently investigate and provide details on the whereabouts of Sargewa, noting that they were following the trending recent enforced disappearances and unlawful detentions in Libya in violation of international humanitarian and human rights law.

It is noteworthy that an armed group belongs to Khaled Hafter stormed the house of MP Siham Sargewa in Benghazi on July 17 and took her to an unknown location up until the moment.
