President of the Justice and Construction Party, Mohammad Sawan, welcomed on Wednesday, the announcement by the Arab League to support the political process in accordance with the full implementation of the Skhirat Agreement, and considered it the reference for any political settlement, and rejected all forms of external intervention in Libya.
Sawan emphasized, on his official page, that the league’s clear and frank stance is a guarantee of recognition of the reconciliation government and the integrity of its position in the face of the rebellion outside the legitimacy, and the holding of alliances regardless of the timing and motives of those who called for this emergency session.
Sawan called on all member states of the League to commit to supporting the legitimate GNA, noting that the League’s statement on the legitimacy of the accord is an argument against the countries involved in fueling the crisis with the support of the party obstructing the political process and the aggressor against the legitimate government, as he put it. It is worth noting that Foreign Minister Mohamed Sayyala expressed his thanks to the Arab Maghreb countries and the states of Qatar and Sudan for supporting Libya in the Arab League meeting.
