The chairman of the Justice and Construction Party, Mohamed Sawan, said on Monday that he supports the elections; Because the current political bodies are now outdated, and their legal term has expired.
Sawan added, in an interview with the Italian newspaper “La Repubblica”, that the Al Sarraj government was not able to present a model that unites the entire country, and a national unity government must be formed from all of Libya; To lead us to the elections.
Sawan indicated that the party has a principled stance against any project that allows the return of dictatorship, tyranny and militarism, and there is no place for Haftar. Because he chose the military dictatorship, and Libya no longer accepted that.
Sawan said that the unification of institutions is possible if the local and international backers of the military project realize Haftar’s failure, adding that the future of Libya depends on achieving political stability, and the crisis in Libya is not economic, but political to manage state resources.
It is worth noting that the chairman of the Justice and Construction Party, Mohammed Sawan, has stated on more than one occasion that the reconciliation government has not succeeded in running the country, stressing his support for the political dialogue, to get the country out of the crisis.
