Sanallah discusses with the Maltese Ambassador activating the oil cooperation agreement.

The National Oil Corporation announced, on Saturday, that the president of the corporation, Mustafa Sanallah, discussed with the Maltese Ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba, the possibility of activating the Memorandum of Understanding that stipulates oil cooperation between the two countries, concluded in 2013.

The Corporation added, according to its official page, that the meeting that was held, Wednesday, in Tripoli, discussed the development of the oil clinic in Tripoli in several areas, such as modernizing laboratories, operating rooms, training medical personnel in the clinic and raising their efficiency.

Sanalla affirmed that there are many great opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in several areas, such as contracting, logistic services, communications, and other aspects that the Libyan oil sector needs.

For his part, the Maltese Ambassador indicated that the main purpose of this visit is to discuss cooperation in the oil field with the National Oil Corporation.

It is worth noting that the Prime Minister of Malta, “Robert Abela”, signed last May in Tripoli, with the President of the Presidency Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, a memorandum of understanding in the field of combating illegal immigration and strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.
