Salama: The Berlin Summit seeks to create an international umbrella to protect what the Libyan people agree on.

Ghassan Salama, the UN envoy to Libya, said on Saturday that the Berlin Summit does not seek to solve the Libyan problem in all its aspects, but rather to create an international umbrella to protect what only the Libyans will agree on.

Salama added, in an interview with Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, that the international umbrella that will be established in Berlin will be separated from the Libyan internal dialogue, which will be discussed in three tracks in the future.

Salama added that the Libyans will meet to discuss 3 tracks, the first of which is the financial and economic track that started its meetings two weeks ago, the second is military and security, which we hope will start soon, and the third political, which will be between the Supreme Council of the State and the House of Representatives in Geneva later this month.

It is worth noting that the President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Asarraj, arrived in the German capital, Berlin, accompanied by Interior Minister Fathi Pashaga and Foreign Minister Mohamed Sayyala to attend the international conference on the Libyan crisis, which will be held on Sunday.
