The Russian “Live Journal” website confirmed, on Monday, the killing of 20 Russian mercenaries in the bombing of the Libyan army planes by military trucks they were carrying them near the city of Sirte.
The site reported the operation of the Volcano of Anger , the destruction of three trucks loaded with ammunition, artillery and rocket-propelled grenades, south of the Bani Waleed area, which were on their way to the Haftar militia, south of the capital.
The Russian website added that, in another raid, Libyan air force planes targeted trucks south of Bani Waleed that were transporting fuel and equipment to Haftar militias.
The website confirmed, through its own sources, the killing of at least one of the Russian mercenaries, and the injury of another who was sent under strict supervision to a clinic inside the city of Bani Waleed.
It is worth noting that the Libyan army spokesman, Colonel Pilot Mohamed Qanunu, announced, on Monday, that heavy artillery had targeted two ammunition stores for Haftar militias in Wadi al-Rabi`, in response to the sources of the fire that was bombing civilians.
