On Thursday, the Presidential Council approved the activation of the Memorandum of Understanding on security and military cooperation signed with the Republic of Turkey on 27th of last month.
The Council, through its official page, explained that the approval to activate the memorandum came during an exceptional meeting that brought together President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Asarraj and his two deputies, Ahmed Maitiq and Abdel Salam Kajman, in addition to the two members of the council, Amari Zayed and Ahmed Hamza, and the rest of the ministers in the council, accompanied by the commanders of the military regions.
It is worth noting that Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed after signing the agreement with the Presidential Council that his country is ready to send military forces to Libya in the event that the legitimate GNA demands that.
