NOC: More than $ 320 million cost of El-Feel Oil Field closure

The National Oil Corporation chairman, Mustafa Sanallah said, the continued closure of El-Feel Oil Field costs the Libyan state losses that exceeds $ 320 million.

In a press statement on the sidelines of his participation in the Libyan-Italian Forum on Sunday, Sanallah said that Libya loses about $ 6 million a day due to security problems and lack of security in the oil field.

The NOC chairman explained saying, the continuation of the current crisis will cost the General Treasury about one billion dollars a year, noting that Libya’s production of crude oil is close to one million barrels per day.

El-Feel Oil field has been closed since 23 February, after the withdrawal of oil facilities guards from the field; in protest against the non-payment of their salaries.
