A member of the Tripoli International Stadium Maintenance Follow-up Committee, Mohamed Qreimeda, said that he expects the Tripoli International Stadium to enter for maintenance next Saturday, after completing the administrative and contractual procedures between the Ministry of Sports and the executing company in preparation for the “CAF” assessment of the stadium’s condition.
In statements to Arraed, Qreimeda added that the maintenance process will be carried out by a local company, stressing that the members of the committee headed by the under secretary “Jamal Abu Nawara” are in constant consultation on all developments related to the maintenance process.
It is worth noting that the African Union decided to lift the ban on Libyan stadiums last February, and made recommendations for the Tripoli International Stadium to receive international matches, while it was allowed to receive them at the Benina Stadium after conforming to the generally accepted specifications.
