NCDC says more than 70 people with AIDS died due to lack of medicines

The Director-General of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) Badr Al-Din Al-Najjar said on Sunday, more than 70 AIDS patients registered in medical centers, died of lack of medicines for several months.

Al-Najjar revealed in a statement to ArraedLG, about 2,600 new cases were recorded in the Center for Disease Control system, the Central Hospital and the Medical Center.

The Director-General added that the center is suffering from the lack of medications for hepatitis, and some diseases that the state monopolize the supply of its drugs, such as AIDS, and mental illness, pointing to the lack of budget allocation to provide.

The National Centers for Disease Control (NCDC) had previously announced the lack of routine child immunizations and the inability of the medical supply system to provide them because of the budget.
