On Wednesday, the National Oil Corporation warned of the danger posed by the presence of foreign mercenaries in the Ras Lanouf petrochemical complex, the Zuaitina oil port and Zela field, which could destroy the sole revenue of the Libyan people.
The Corporation revealed, in a statement, the increasing number of mercenaries inside the Ras Lanouf petrochemical complex, warning of the danger to the safety of workers and industrial facilities within the complex, also stressing that the presence of a large number of military personnel in the housing allocated to workers inside the residential city is a flagrant violation of the law and privacy.
The Corporation expressed its deep concern about the continued militarization of oil installations, and the heavy presence of foreign mercenaries in various oil fields and ports in the east and south of the country.
The Corporation stated that the oil facility guards seized large quantities of aviation fuel at Zuwaitina Company’s 103 field airport and transported it on two trucks.
The National Oil Corporation confirmed the landing of a military plane last Sunday with military personnel who examined the airstrip of Field 103 airport for military use, and foreign mercenaries entered the residence for workers in the port of Zouitina.
It is worth noting that the National Corporation announced on June 27 , the entry of the Russian Wagner mercenaries to the Alsharara oil field, while press sources confirmed the control of the Russian and Janjaweed mercenaries over the ports of Zouitina and Ras Lanouf.
