Libyan navy rescues 40 illegal immigrants

Libyan coast guard patrol rescued on Sunday 40 illegal immigrants, including a child and eight women, on board a rubber boat.

Libyan naval spokesperson, Ayoub Qassem told ArraedLG the migrants were in a boat north of Zuwara, pointing out that they belonged to four different nationalities – Morocco, Egypt, Syria and Niger.

The immigrants were handed over to the Illegal Immigration Agency at the Tajoura shelter.
