Libya and Tunisia agree to quaratine the stranded before their return and a mechanism for the continued flow of goods across the common border.

Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala discussed with his Tunisian counterpart, Noureddine El-Ray, coordination between the two countries, to return the stranded citizens of both sides to their country, and the need to follow mechanisms to ensure that the Coruna epidemic does not spread.

The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs added, on its official page, Tuesday, that the two ministers agreed in a telephone call to quarantine the Libyan citizens who are now in cities south of Tunisia, and to coordinate with all relevant Tunisian institutions, to ensure a quarantine that meets the required conditions.

It was also agreed that the food commodities and other materials would flow through the land port of Ras Ijdir after setting a joint mechanism, which would rotate the drivers of trucks loaded with goods each in his country or his location so that the goods or truck were delivered at the crossing and driven by another driver located in the country that the truck wanted to enter Tunisia or Libya.

It is worth noting that Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohamed al-Qiblawi confirmed, on Tuesday, that the Libyans stranded abroad will be returned, and they will be subjected to quarantine in the countries in which they are located.
