Al Fandi who broke a pledge he made not to make Tarhuna a center for any aggression against Tripoli, was at the head of the instigators of the war, and mobilized the people of the city, to fight with Haftar’s militia in his recent aggression on the capital.

Al-Fandi supported the Al Kani militia, which committed mass massacres, assassinations, and murders on the identity, such crimes were never seen before.

Al Kani militia wanted for local and international justice killed entire families, burned their homes, and established secret prisons that were discovered since the early hours of the Libyan army’s control of Tarhuna on June 6.

The head of the Management Council of the municipality of Tarhuna, Mohammed al-Kishar, said in a previous statement to Arraed that the number of bodies found in the mass graves left by the Al Kani militia in the city amounted to more than 116 bodies, with only six of them identified.

Al-Kisher added that the number of families from which samples were taken regarding their missing exceeded 330 families, and that some families had 7 missing persons, pointing out that some of those whose bodies were identified found with their personal possessions buried with them, such as car keys or identity papers.

Al-Kishar explained that the number of reports filed at Tarhuna Police Station on the murders of the Al Kani militia and the reporting of the missing exceeded 3 thousand.

29 mass graves have been discovered so far in the city in Alrabit project, some of which were buried with medical devices, and others were buried with their personal belongings, some of them were women and children.

The families of the victims and the missing in the city of Tarhuna are still organizing regular protests; To demand the clarification of the fate of their relatives who were kidnapped by the Al-Kani militia, and to hold accountable the perpetrators of the crimes committed in the city.
