Lavrov: Moscow rejects Haftar’s statement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday that Moscow does not support Haftar’s statement announcing the withdrawal from the political agreement and the transfer of power in Libya.

In a press conference, Lavrov stressed that Russia does not agree with what Haftar announced with his decision alone, how the Libyan people live.

It is worth noting that the leader of the Al-Karama militias Haftar announced, on Monday, a coup against the legitimacy of the state and the overthrow of the political agreement.
