Italy announces the release of the fishermen detained in Benghazi.

On Thursday, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the release of the fishermen detained in the city of Benghazi, who were arrested by Haftar’s militias last September.

The Italian Foreign Ministry stated that the release came after the visit of Prime Minister “Giuseppe Conte” and Minister of Foreign Affairs “Luigi de Maio” to Benghazi, according to the Italian agency “AKI”.

For his part, de Maio confirmed that the Italian government will continue its support for the stabilization process in Libya.
