Italy and Spain stress on the political solution in Libya, and the need to resume oil export.

The Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi De Maio, reiterated during a press conference with his Spanish counterpart, Gonzalez Laia, that ending the conflict in Libya would only be with a diplomatic and political solution.

De Maio said that there is no time to waste, stressing that they are always trying to stimulate and strengthen dialogue in Libya and there is a lot to do at this crucial stage, according to him.

For her part, “Laia” stressed the need for a ceasefire in Libya, the pursuit of political negotiations, an end to foreign intervention, and the resumption of oil production to restart the economy, especially in the face of the Corona pandemic.

It is worth noting that the Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi De Maio, said on July 7 that the resumption of the track of a comprehensive political dialogue towards the only solution to achieve sustainable stability in Libya.
