Italy ambassador hails Zawiya Municipality elections

Italy’s Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Perrone praised the elections in the municipality of Zawiya, where participation exceeded 50% of the registered voters.

Perrone, on his personal Twitter account, said on Sunday, hearing the voice of the Libyan people at the local and national levels is a key factor towards building a stable democracy in Libya, congratulating his country for supporting the city of Zawiya through the Bridge of Solidarity initiative.

 

Zawiya Municipality elections is conducted through 50 electoral centers, divided into 83 polling stations, where 20 candidates are running for office.
