HCS president said council started communication with members of HOR

The head of the High Council of State Khaled Al-Mashri said on Monday, the council began to communicate with some members of the House of Representatives (HOR), adding that a meeting with the HOR Speaker, Aqila Saleh will probably take place next week.

During his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Libya Ahmed Dougan in Tripoli, Al-Mashri discussed the work plan of the Council in the coming period and efforts made to connect with the HOR as soon as possible, according to HCS official page.

He expressed his confidence in the role of Turkey and its support for the Libyan file, appreciating its positive support and its efforts for the stability of Libya.

For his part, the Turkish ambassador affirmed his country’s position in support of Libya, praising the role played by the High Council of State in the political process in Libya.

 

Khalid Al-Mashri was elected, last week, as the new president of the HCS by 64 votes.
