Hassadi: Hiftir’s declaration of air embargo is a crime punishable by law

Member of the state high council Mansour al-Hasadi on Monday considered Hifter’s declaration of an air embargo on Tripoli a publicly-declared crime, live on air issued by illegal parties and outlaw militias.

In a statement, Al-Hasadi called on the GNA, the Attorney General and the competent authorities to take the necessary measures to document this crime that threatens air traffic and the lives of civilians.

Al-Hassadi called on the UN special envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salama, to carry out his duties against this crime, which contravenes international law and international humanitarian law.

It is worth noting that the spokesman of Hifter Ahmed al-Mesmari announced last Saturday, imposing what he called their force’s air embargo on some cities in the western region.
