Haftar latest speech threatens statehood, says HCS member

The High Council of State (HCS) member, Abdul Rahman Al-Shater said that the speech of the commander of Operation Dignity forces, Khalifa Haftar threatens the establishment of a civil state and the peaceful rotation of power.

Al-Shater said in a tweet on Saturday that the current stage needed calmness and the election of a new parliament to reorganize the internal affairs and remove the obstructers of the political scene in the country.

The commander of Operation Dignity forces, Khalifa Haftar said in a speech last Thursday that the current draft constitution is “detailed” and catastrophic, and an alternative must be found, calling on Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh to find an alternative to the draft, otherwise he would be “the victim”.
