Haftar backs down from statements on Algeria

Haftar Forces spokespersdon, Ahmed Al-Mismari backed down on the threats launched by the commander of Operation Dignity, Khalifa Haftar toward Algeria to turn war in its direction.

Al-Mismari told a news conference that Libya has a long history of friendship awith Algeria, adding that Algeria is a fellow country and has one destiny with Libya.

The two countries’ relations must be strong in fighting terrorism, said Operation Dignity spokesperson.

The commander of Operation Dignity, Khalifa Haftar threatened in a speech, last Thursday, to enter into a war with Algeria, because of what he described as exploiting the security situation in Libya and the entry of its troops to the Libyan territory.
