Guterres: The participation of the permanent members of Secyrity Council in Berlin enhances the unity of the council on Libya.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the participation of the permanent members of the Security Council in the Berlin conference promotes hope for the unity of the Council on Libya.

Guterres added, according to the agency “Sputnik”, that the Security Council welcomed the outcome of the Berlin conference, stressing that the support of the Council for the results of Berlin is very important, expressing hope that the JMC 5 + 5 meet next Tuesday.

The Berlin conference, held last Sunday, was attended by 12 countries to solve the Libyan crisis, and ended up with a final draft confirming the ceasefire and the formation of a military committee from the two parties 5 + 5 and that there is no military solution to the crisis.
