On Sunday, the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was launched in the Kazakh capital of #Astana. #Libya was represented at the summit by Mohamed Amari Zayed, a member of the Presidential Council. The summit discussed how to eliminate extremism and terrorism, and working to reduce unemployment rates and attract young people to work in the fields of science and technology.
The summit is the first of its kind; headed by the leaders of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and specializing in science and technology. The summit is running until Monday, and is expected to culminate in a collective and unified stance towards the advancement of the fields of science, technology and innovation which emphasizes the desire of the Islamic world to promote scientific and technical development.
