The head of the Russian contact group on Libya, Lev Dingov, confirmed Moscow’s support for the negotiation efforts between President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, and the leader of the Karama operation, Khalifa Haftar, on Saturday.
“Russia is trying to help the parties reach an agreement to bring peace to Libya,” Dingov told Russian news agency Sputnik.
