The head of the Karama forces, Khalifa Hafter, said that their involvement in the political process came in response of the requests from several countries that have maintained a friendly relationship with the Karama forces, according to the Russian news agency Sputnik.
“We are determined to continue the struggle,” he said at a news conference on Monday in Moscow with the Russian foreign minister, “so that the army will extend its control over the entire Libyan territory”
On the other hand, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that the situation in Libya is still difficult, stressing Russia’s support for Hafter to reach an agreement with the Government of National Accord
