
Heads of state and government of Germany, Italy and France affirmed on Friday, their determination to work for the success of the Berlin Conference on the Libyan crisis, stressing that it must be held “without further delay”.
The Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the European summit in Brussels, reaffirmed their commitment to the path of a political solution and their full support to the United Nations and the work of the Special Representative Ghassan Salama in Libya, according to the Italian Aki Agency.
It is worth pointing out that the European Parliament called on Friday the European Union countries and the international community to condemn “Hifter’s recent threats to storm Tripoli” to prevent a bloodbath, according to their statement.
