Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Turkish investments in the African continent provided more than 100,000 job opportunities, noting that the value of Turkish projects completed in there amounted to about $ 70 billion.
This came during the opening, yesterday, Thursday, of the session of the Turkish-African Economic and Business Forum, through video conferencing, from Wahid Addin Presidential Palace in Istanbul.
In opening the session of the Turkish-African Economic and Business Forum, on Thursday, Erdogan said that his country increased the number of its embassies in the African continent from 12 to 42, and commercial consulting offices to 26.
Erdogan added that Turkish companies in Africa continued their work with dedication during the epidemic period despite logistical difficulties and quarantine measures.
It is worth noting that a number of Turkish officials have stated on several occasions that their country is seeking to increase the volume of its investments in Libya to 10 billion dollars annually.
