Turkish President Rejep Erdogan said on Monday that the field gains achieved by the legitimate government in Libya, better show the true face of the coup leader Haftar.
Erdogan, after presiding over a Turkish government meeting held through video communication technology, called on international public opinion to support the legitimate government of Libya in the face of the coup leader Haftar, adding that his country will continue to spoil the conspiracies in the Mediterranean, with its strength derived from international law and its firm stance in protecting its interests.
Erdogan stressed that the memorandum of understanding that his country signed with Libya to define the maritime jurisdiction in the Mediterranean is still standing, “even though we have completed the path related to the memorandum by informing the United Nations about it.”
It is worth noting that the President of the Presidential Council signed, on the 27th of last December, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, two memoranda of understanding, the first one is related to maritime, and the second related to cooperation in the security fields.
