Embassies for #Netherlands #Hungary #South_Korea reopen in #Tripoli #Libya after three year closure

Wissam Jama, head of the Diplomatic Security Service at the Libyan Interior Ministry, stated that the embassies of Netherlands, Hungary and South Korea have reopened and began their official functions in Tripoli following a three year closure.

The embassies had closed down due to security concerns; as most foreign embassies and mission had left Tripoli and moved on to Tunisia after the 2014 battle between rival armed groups, which had divided politics in Libya.

Jama added that “great efforts have been made by the diplomatic security forces to secure embassies in Tripoli.”
