Di Maio stressed the need to address the migration file with the approach of the summer season, which Italy had received guarantees of cooperation in the flow of migration from Libya, which would allow the management of a historical phenomenon with the Libyan allies.

It is worth noting that Libya and Italy signed a 2008 agreement to build a coastal road from the Tunisian border to the Egyptian border, as part of Libya’s compensation for the period of the Italian occupation.
