Department of foreign cases saves Libya from a financial loss of 350 million Egyptian pounds.

On Sunday, the Overseas Disputes Committee at the Department of Cases in the Libyan State announced that it had succeeded in saving the public treasury a financial loss estimated at 350 million Egyptian pounds, the value of administrative seizure with some banks and other bodies in Egypt.

The Department clarified that the Primary South Cairo Court issued its verdict in the grievance lodged by the case management on behalf of the Libyan state, the statement of which requires the acceptance of the grievance in form, and the cancellation of the fees estimation orders referred to obligating the defendant to the expenses and attorney fees – according to what the official page of the Cases Administration has quoted.

The Department confirmed that this judgment has become final and made clear by the expiry of the deadlines set for appealing against it without appeal, in accordance with the Egyptian pleading law.

It is worth noting that the Overseas Disputes Committee in the Department of Cases in the Libyan State announced last Sunday that it had succeeded in lifting the seizure signed on state funds from some Italian companies with a number of Italian banks, “Unicredi, BNL, ABC” to meet the debt of 113 million euros.
